Clay Bar Paint Treatment
A clay bar is a synthetic clay that latches onto small pieces of dirt and sediments that are still stuck on the car’s paint.
The detailers use a clay bar glove to glide over the lubricated paint surface to remove dirt and contaminants, leaving the paint smooth and ready for wax.
Without using a clay bar to properly remove small grains of dirt from the car paint, you can actually do more damage to the car paint when waxing by spreading those small pieces of dirt all over the car.
That is why this is a critical step when preparing dirtier cars for a wax.
