By booking a service or using lajolladetail.com, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. In these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean La Jolla Mobile Car Detail LLC.
1. Our services and independent detailers
We operate a platform that connects you with certified, independent detailers who provide mobile car detailing, auto detailing, ceramic coating, paint correction, and related vehicle-care services in La Jolla and the greater San Diego area. These detailers are independent contractors, not our employees or agents. Each detailer determines how the work is performed and maintains their own commercial general liability and automobile insurance, with our company named as an additional insured. We coordinate your booking and stand behind the experience through our TLC Guarantee.
2. Booking, scheduling, and access
- Appointments are requested online or by phone/text and are confirmed by us.
- You must provide safe, legal, and reasonable access to the vehicle at the scheduled time and location (including any parking, gate, or building access needed).
- If the detailer arrives and cannot access the vehicle or safely perform the service, a $50 fee may apply, the same as a late cancellation (see Section 4). We are lenient in genuine emergencies or when you reschedule reasonably.
3. Pricing and payment
- Prices depend on vehicle size, condition, and the package selected, and are confirmed at or before booking.
- We keep a card on file and charge it after your appointment is completed. No deposit is required to book.
- Any membership or recurring plan (such as Club Clean) is charged only when a service is actually performed. We do not automatically bill you on a recurring schedule.
- We help set expectations before your appointment. If your vehicle needs more than the package you booked, the detailer will let you know and ask you to contact us about an upgraded service that fits your needs, rather than changing the price on the spot.
- You are responsible for applicable taxes.
- Gift cards, if purchased, do not expire and carry no service or dormancy fees, consistent with California law, and are redeemable toward our services.
4. Cancellations, rescheduling, and no-shows
- Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance.
- Cancellations within 24 hours, or no-shows, are subject to a $50 fee. We are lenient in genuine emergencies or when you reschedule reasonably.
5. Your responsibilities
- Remove personal belongings and valuables from the vehicle before service; we are not responsible for items left inside.
- Disclose known issues (leaks, loose trim, aftermarket parts, pre-existing damage, wraps, or delicate finishes) before service.
6. Weather and conditions
Some services require suitable weather and conditions. We may reschedule for rain, extreme weather, or unsafe conditions, and will work with you to find a new time.
7. Satisfaction, refunds, and disputes
Our work is backed by our TLC Guarantee. If you are not satisfied, contact us within 24 hours of completion (with photos and video for any damage claim) and we will make it right, typically by re-performing the affected service at no additional charge. Re-service is our primary remedy; any monetary refund is at our discretion where a re-service is not practical. Please contact us to resolve any concern before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer, so we can address it directly. Details of the guarantee are on our website.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
We treat every vehicle with care using professional products and methods. Except as expressly stated in our TLC Guarantee, our services are provided “AS IS” and we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, defects, or conditions (such as failing clear coat, prior scratches, rust, or mechanical issues) that may become more visible after cleaning. Any claim of damage caused by a service must be reported within 24 hours of completion, with photos and video. Because services are performed by independent, insured detailers, damage claims may be handled through the responsible detailer’s insurance.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO A SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THAT SERVICE, AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under California law, including liability for gross negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct (California Civil Code § 1668).
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless La Jolla Mobile Car Detail LLC and its network detailers from claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of our services, or inaccurate information you provide (such as undisclosed vehicle conditions).
10. Arbitration and class action waiver
Please read this section carefully; it affects your legal rights. If a dispute arises out of or relating to these Terms or our services, you and La Jolla Mobile Car Detail agree first to try to resolve it informally by contacting us. If it is not resolved, the dispute will be submitted to mediation administered by JAMS in San Diego County, California. If mediation does not resolve it, the dispute will then be resolved by confidential, final, and binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS in San Diego, California, under its applicable rules (including JAMS consumer arbitration minimum standards where they apply), rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. You and La Jolla Mobile Car Detail waive the right to a jury trial and agree that claims may be brought only on an individual basis, not as part of any class or representative action. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing info@lajolladetail.com within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms.
11. Communications and SMS consent
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive calls and texts about your booking. SMS terms and opt-out (reply STOP) are described in our Privacy Policy and on our forms.
12. Intellectual property
All content on lajolladetail.com (text, images, logos, and branding) is owned by or licensed to us and may not be used without permission.
13. Accessibility

14. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, natural disasters, utility or supply disruptions, labor issues, or government actions.
15. General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding our services. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor or affiliate.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and, except for claims subject to arbitration or small claims court, any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.
17. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time; changes take effect when posted with a revised effective date, and your continued use of our services means you accept them.
