Detail Car Cleaning: How to Clean the Inside of Your Car
Detail car cleaning is not easy. Cleaning the inside of your car is even harder. There are so many nooks and crannies, and so many different surfaces. The last thing you want to do is get out a dirty rag and start scrubbing it all over the place to find that you’ve made a bigger mess than when you started. But don’t worry! We’re here for you! We’ve come up with an easy-to-follow list of steps that will help clean the inside of your car without much trouble at all!
Vacuum the floor and seats. Start by vacuuming up any dirt, dust, or crumbs that may have accumulated on the floor or seats of your car. Be sure to get into all the nooks and crannies, as well as under the seats. If you have carpeted floors, be sure to use a vacuum attachment that won’t damage the fibers. For hard floors, you can use a damp mop or cloth.
Wipe down surfaces. Once the floor and seats are vacuumed, use a clean cloth to wipe down all of the surfaces in your car. This includes the dash, door panels, center console, and any other hard surfaces.
Clean windows and mirrors. Use a glass cleaner and clean cloth to clean all the windows and mirrors in your car. Be sure to get into all the nooks and crannies, as well as any hard-to-reach spots. Be sure to reach those pesky spots in the corners too!
Move on to the seats. Wipe down the surfaces with a clean, damp cloth. If your seats are leather, be sure to use a cleaner that is specifically designed for leather.
Don’t forget the dashboard and console. Use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to dust off the surface. If there are any stubborn spots, you can use a mild cleaning solution on a cloth or cotton swab to help remove them.
Clean upholstery and carpets. If you have any stains or spills on your upholstery or carpets, now is the time to clean them up. Use a stain remover that is appropriate for the material, and follow the directions carefully.
Dust vents and air fresheners. Use a dust brush or vacuum attachment to dust off the vents in your car. You can also use this opportunity to freshen up your car with a new air freshener.
Freshen up the air. To help get rid of any lingering odors, open the windows and doors to let some fresh air in. You can also use an air freshener if desired.
Polish and shine. To give your car’s interior a finishing touch, polish any hard surfaces and shine any chrome.
Cleaning the inside of your car doesn’t have to be a daunting task. With a little time and effort, you can have it looking good as new in no time! Just follow the steps above and you’ll be on your way to a clean car in no time.
